Internal shaking platform
In contrast to standard hybridisation ovens, the OV3 offers an independently controlled shaking platform. For some applications it is advantageous to incubate blots in a tray rather than in a hybridisation bottle. In this case the internal shaking platform of the OV3 is a convenient way to incubate at precise temperature with controlled horizontal agitation.
Advanced heating technology
The Mini oven OV2 features an advanced ventilation system that ensures even temperature distribution within the oven chamber. Temperature is precisely controlled in a range from 10°C above room temperature to a maximum of 85°C. A platinum sensor recognizes temperature deviations bigger than 0.1°C and directly triggers the heating system.
Precisely controlled rotor with high capacity
The rotor speed can be set between 6 to 10 rotations per minute, allowing precise control of hybridisation conditions. A maximum of 12 hybridisation bottles (10 or 15cm length) can be incubated in the OV3. Alternatively, 6 large bottles (30cm) can be incubated at the same time. Thanks to the gentle rotation, even in the large bottles minimum hybridisation solution is required (down to a few ml).
