Stand-alone system for absolute flexibility
A high-quality CCD video camera provides for brilliant gel images. The live image can be directly seen on a high-resolution 5,7" LCD display which is built in the darkroom. This most compact model comes with a motorzoom lens. As alternative also a model with manual zoom lens and 9" video monitor is available. The wipe-clean six-button key-pad is positioned at eye-level and offers all necessary functions as setting of integration time and save image as TIFF (12 bit), BMP or JPG file on Compact Flash card. The image files are also saved to the internal memory and can be transferred by network connection to PCs. Saturation monitoring allows the easy capture of fully quantifiable images. The compact darkhood comes with a slide-out UV transilluminator. A safety-interlocking darkroom door protects the user from UV exposure. The change of bandpass filters is easily possible with the 3-position filter-slider.

A video thermal printer can be directly connected to the controller. The system can be easily upgraded from pure gel documentation to gel analysis with the BioDocAnalyze analysis software which can be installed on a separate personal computer. This software is compatible for the import of image files into the gel analysis.
