Introduction Electrophoresis

Biometra offers a comprehensive range of instrumentation for gel electrophoresis. For easy overview, products are arranged in different main sections.

Section „Separation of proteins“ contains numerous instruments for Polyacrylamid Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE) and related techniques. For „Separation of DNA and RNA“ we offer various systems for agarose gel electrophoresis.

The a2DEoptimizer  is the first system to automate gel casting to user-defined gradients. The system has been designed to improve manual 2-dimensional electrophoresis by increasing reproducibility and enhancing the resolution of protein separations.

Fast and convenient mutation analysis is achieved with Temperature Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (TGGE). Biometra is the exclusive licensee for TGGE instrumentation. Two systems of different size are available.

In addition to agarose gel separation of nucleic acids we provide different systems for manual Sequencing.

Suitable Power Supplies are available for all electrophoresis chambers or blot apparatus. In this section you can find the right power pack.

In the Blotting section we offer various instruments for blot transfer of nucleic acids and proteins. Instruments for vacuum blotting as well as for electrical blotting are available.
