Introduction Gel Documentation and Analysis Systems

Biometra develops and distributes complete solutions for high performance gel documentation and gel analysis. Driven by close contact to our many customers in the field of life sciences we have developed our unique BioDocAnalyze (BDA) software. Suggestions and input from laboratories all over the world are consequently implemented in this program.

There are different systems for image capture available. The new BioDocAnalyze live and the well established BioDocAnalyze video use very light sensitive CCD cameras for image acquisition. The BioDocAnalyze digital includes a high resolution digital camera and provides all advantages of today's digital technology. The systems are offered as complete workstations (including camera, darkhood, software, printer, computer) or as core sets (camera, software) which can be individually completed with further components.

Biometra also offers a gel documentation system which comes as stand-alone solution without using a personal computer: The UVsolo has a compact design and includes a monochrome CCD camera, darkhood and transilluminator.

For documentation of chemiluminescent samples Biometra distributes two high-quality systems with super cooled CCD cameras: the extremely compact system UVIchemi for pure chemiluminescence applications and the multi-application system UVIprochemi for chemiluminescence, fluorescence and white-light documentation.
